Hi! My name is Katie Sard. I am so excited to be the Student Support Coordinator at Franzen this year! I have been teaching in Itasca District 10 since 2016. I completed my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Indiana University. I have also completed my masters degree in Reading from Olivet Nazarene University. I am currently continuing my education through Aurora University and pursuing a masters in Educational Leadership. Outside of school, I enjoy time with family and friends, traveling and trying out new restaurants. It is my goal to provide a learning environment to every child that is welcoming, collaborative, challenging, and provides a safe space to grow, learn, and make mistakes. I am so excited to be the Student Support Coordinator and to help your child grow academically and personally this school year!
